Peeping Chicks

5/11/2015

Our organic chicks are now two weeks old. Rhode Island Red and Black Leghorn. In six weeks they will be ready for the pecking just in time for Canada Day celebrations. They are growing up so fast and will soon be ready for a new life with the rest of our little peckers. There are a few dozen peepers running around figuring out the world. They have outgrown the fluffy yellow colour and now are showing their true chicken brown, red and black. I wonder if chickens make friends they way that people do, or if they know each other by the high sounds they make. In six weeks they will be ready for the pecking just in time for Canada Day celebrations, husbands better start up the BBQ and go out at buy fireworks, to celebrate the deliciousness of organic breed and raises peepers.
